October was Safe Work Month in Australia, and as a company, we wanted to take the opportunity to recognise the importance of workplace safety and celebrate the efforts of our team in maintaining safe work environments.
To wrap up the month, we organised a staff get-together at one of our sites. The event was a great opportunity for our team to relax, unwind and bond with each other.
We started the day with a brief site walk around. This was a chance for everyone to refresh their knowledge on important safety protocols and procedures, and to ask any questions they might have. We also discussed some of the key risks and hazards specific to our industry, and how we can work together to minimise these risks.
After the walk around we shared a lovely morning tea and lunch, where everyone enjoyed a variety of delicious food and drinks. As we chatted and laughed together, it was clear that our team has a strong sense of camaraderie and a shared commitment to safety.
Lunch was followed by some fun challenges, where the team competed in some simple building tasks. We also gave out prizes for little quizzes we had done throughout the month, this was a great way to reinforce the lessons we had learned and to ensure that safety is top of mind for everyone.
Overall it was a great opportunity for our team to come together, have some fun and prioritise workplace safety. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and events like this one help to remind us of the importance of this goal.
