Council successfully applied for funding to design and build the new studio space for the MEC through the NSW Government’s Regional Cultural Fund

September 2020

Council approved the studio addition to the MEC

April 2021

Reeman Construction Pty Ltd was appointed the construction contract for the studio space works

MidCoast Council Councillors unanimously agreed to name the new facility the ‘Beryl Jane Flett Studio’ in honour of June and Beryl Flett

Early 2022

Studio space under construction

Late 2022

Completion of studio space works late 2022
